This book is for adult beginners who started playing the songs immediately. It uses a Middle C approach, however, do not worry because I think it makes it more difficult to play later. I teach piano to all ages and found that the use of the Music Tree series (for adults and children) to my students reading music easy time. When using a Middle C approach, are associated with the names of the fingerings for notes and have difficulty in saying that 2 of space in the treble clef is an A (and so on). Re-learn to read music is always frustrating. That said, I think that adults find it easier to break this habit, then I would not buy this book. There is also a theory about this, which is a plus. I would say is good, not great.Rating: 3 / 5

A month ago, I decided I wanted to learn to play the piano. I play the guitar for almost 5 years, but had no experience with playing music or vocational training, and as I want to start recording some songs soon, I think it would be good to have some knowledge the piano.

I chose this book based on other tests, and convinced me. Well, I am using this book for about two weeks and could not be happier! It is ultra-wide, and begins simply but moves quickly. I like the exercises in the book, which helped a lot with reading notes (well I'm learning!) I'm almost to page 40 (over 150, I think.) Repeat the songs are funny, and not I think everything I learned in the limited time I practiced.

If you want to learn to play piano, buy this book! I can not say if it is a substitute for a good teacher, because I've never had one, but if you are motivated and prefer to work at their own pace (and thus enjoy learning more!) Paper I would recommend it 100%! <, br />
I hope this helped!Rating: 5 / 5

Well, I am a "middle age", and for years has wanted to learn to play an instrument and be able to read music. Firstly, it started with the violin because I really liked the instrument, but no farther because he was too much at once (violin + music playback).
Anyway, recently took advantage of Alfred Piano in connection with a keyboard, especially to teach me to read music. The piano is a learning tool more than anything. But this book has sparked my interest in piano! I really enjoy "playing" the lessons (the keyboard, too).
In general this is a great book that combines experience, theory and technique. . That's exactly what I wanted. If you order the book, I recommend getting the book / CD combo.Rating: 5 / 5
