I chose this book to teach a new student of 6 years. It is a wonderful book, because it moves slowly, each page presents a new concept and practice with children in small steps. It is perfect because the child is not overwhelmed. The illustrations are very nice too. And the print is large and spacious for the future. You can also get a CD that accompanies more than $ 1.
After ordering the Usborne book here and find full and confused, I went to my local music store and took the book of all books of piano principle. It’s a very nice.

I taught piano lessons for over 20 years. Meanwhile, I discovered that the basic Alfredo Piano Library Level 1A is ideal for young beginners. When children are around 5-6 years of age, have trouble controlling their hands and multitasking. Therefore, learning to use fingers correctly, count and learn the names of the letter can be very frustrating. In ABPL 1A level, children do not learn the names of notes at first. They simply play the notes according to the number of their fingers. The notes go up or down the ladder, but not on a stick. Thus, they learn fingering and counting, but not the names of letters for the first few weeks.
Level 1A CDE F also introduced first and then the bass. This is better for children because they often mistake B below middle C to D above Middle C. Also, an error of E, F and G, and vice versa. BA and G in the bass clef (just below middle C) has been introduced later in the series.

I used this book with younger students [. . . ] Over the past 8 years. It moves at a comfortable pace and introduces the concepts of good music. I really recommend the book that accompanies the theory of strengthening the concepts of time between classes. My students have had good results and advanced quickly to the beginning. I was very happy with it.

This book works for me. It starts with the basics and introduces the basics of piano. It offers great practice pieces. My piano teacher told me again and I love this book.
