Well, i believe it would be pretty difficult to play without a piano but if you had a piano then there are loads of useful tutorials on youtube and helpful reading music sheets. :]
It’s possible, provided you are more of a visual person instead of learning by ear. With videos being compressed online to save bandwidth, the actual tones of the notes might be slightly off, so that’s always a challenge.
You will need, however, is a some type of keyboard to learn on. Just seeing something played is not enough; your hands and fingers need to build strength and dexterity. Not to mention the two-handed coordination.
I would save up for a full sized keyboard, which should only be a few hundred or so, at the minimum. Be sure to check Craigslist to see if someone is trying to get rid of a keyboard or piano. You might find a deal. Colleges usually sell their student pianos on a regular basis, and the benefit is that they have been maintained and usually aren’t abused.
Hmm, I don’t think you would learn to play the piano easily. There might be some videos online. Give it a try and see if you like it.
I would suggest for you to buy books. I have wanted to learn to play the guitar and I bought books.
Some come with a CD so you can hear if you are playing correctly.
If books are sold for guitars there should be for pianos as well.
Good Luck!
