How do I learn how to play a Piano?
My roommate has a piano and I really want to learn to play. I listen to classical music and can play some great tunes with just heard. Is there a better way to learn? How do I start?

To reach a professional level, you have to start with a good teacher.
Find a local teacher and start taking some lessons
.
go to a professional.
Start by finding a good teacher then keep moving up from there if you want to become professional. Just keep in mind that it takes a lot of practice. good luck though
Find a teacher. To find one, ask everyone you know and come in contact with. Ask your friends to keep their ears open for you.

You will have to take 1-2-1 lessons. You don’t really need a “great” teacher if you are just a beginner. Just someone who you get on with and can establish a good rapport with and who talks to you on a wavelength you can understand.
Lessons do not come cheap so make sure you are earning some money from somewhere!
A teacher is the best option. But if you are pressed for money, go for teaching yourself with books and stuff like that. But a teacher helps you develop an artistic sense of the music,.
Good deals on lessons can be found at the local music school (if you are at or near a college/university). Many of the students will need to gain more experience in teaching.
Get piano lessons and sight read some fingerings and easy songs.
