It is great for the 4-yr-old age. I haven't had success with any of my boys before then. Please don't teach Do-Rae-Me. That's how I learned and it really kept me from my full potential. I think preschool age is far too young for instrumental lessons. Much better to play the piano TO them, encourage them to experiment a bit, and to sing. My youngest started piano lessons at 6, at which point his reading age was 11. That was still plenty young enough. His teacher won't take kids who aren't completely secure with reading, because she found that letter names for notes totally confused them. I…wouldn’t start. Before you know it they'll know more than a 10yr old who started piano a year ago.
