I play the piano, and want to learn how to play the guitar- will it be really hard changing from instrument?
I played piano for about six years. I love him, but I originally wanted to play the guitar. Because my parents played the piano, I kind of forced labor exists. I want to try something different now, after so long. . . be very difficult to change the instrument? I remember, it was difficult to learn the piano, my fingers were stiff. . . there is nothing about it now, though. Is this the way I play the piano with the help of all?
not really. i also recently started playing guitar after 6 years of piano. just know that when you start, your left hand fingers will hurt like hell for the first few weeks. (trust me, it’s from experience). but it does help a little, because you can read the music fluently
no, its not hard changing an instrument
playing the piano can help since u learned to read note and guitar is somewhat similar
i play the guitar and drums, so i would know :]
Playing piano should help you with playing guitar since you have finger strength, so the chords and moving your hands quickly won’t be a hard task. The only thing that may be difficult is your fingertips since once you start playing guitar, (assuming you’re starting with acoustic) your fingertips will be raw for the first few weeks you start playing, but you’ll develop calluses in time. As for the keys of songs, it’s all the same so don’t worry about that. It’s actually easier to play guitar if you know how to play piano, so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Just be patient though. Good luck! :]
Playing piano should help because you already have the co-ordination you need to be able to play guitar. Like everything else, switching from chord to chord will become easier with practice. When playing guitar, the fingers of on your left hand (or right hand if you play left handed, like me) will hurt for a while and you’ll notice dents in your fingers. But, once you’ve been playing guitar for a few weeks, your fingertips will become harder and more firm and you won’t even notice the dents.
Unfortunately, piano sheet music won’t help with learning tab. You’ll have to learn that from scratch I’m afraid, but it will come with practice.
