My right pink finger feels awkward when I try to use it to play piano. How do I strengthen it?
Both of my pinky fingers are incredibly thin and slightly curved. I do not like pressing the keys with them at the piano, because it feels weird and strange. How do I upgrade / fatten my Pinky and its stronger and does not feel uncomfortable when I play?
On guitar I would practice scales and patterns using only my left hand pinky, pinky and ring finger, pinky and middle finger etc. I would just make up exercises. It’s gotten quite strong over the years. Try to invent similar exercises that use your pinkys in combination with one or two other fingers. When you go back to using your full hand you may begin to notice more strength in them.
When I first started playing piano, the keys felt SO weird to me. Now, I kinda teach some basics to a few people and they say it works. So you just need to practice using your pink finger more. Remember, you don’t have to be at the piano to practice. You can tap your pink finger anywhere you are. Just practice.
(My pinky fingers are crooked too but its fine!)
Yes, every ones pinkies are like that, especially when you first start piano. To strengthen it, i would just practice scales, or just practice. Remember, practice makes perfect.
