How to play Your Song by Elton John on Piano – Introduction (first 4 measures)

fastpianolessons.com For the other part of the lesson make sure to check out the blog! I recommend watching the performance example and then skipping ahead through the commentary to the slow performances and copying it step by step. Table of contents :10 – Performance example of the 4 measure introduction :21 – SLOW walkthrough 3:27 – SLOW performance, chord by chord. I’m saying each chord. 4:05 – Holding down all the notes in the chord at once This is a great song to do for valentines day! *hint hint* Its just the first four measures, but this is the epitome of elton john’s style: rolling arpeggios and chords in inversions.

Piano Concerto #4, First movement – A. Mathieu 1/2

André Mathieu (1929-1968) was a french canadian pianist and composer. He is relatively unknown to most people even though he was a complete genius. He was a prodigy. He composed his first piece of music at age of 3 and gave his first recital in Paris at age of 7. Also, this Concerto #4 was composed when he was around 12 years old! The concerto is played by the great pianist Alain Lefèvre.
