Clair de lune from Scratch: Piano Lesson #44, Measure 30 Pt. 2
Please visit PianoFromScratch.com to view all of the lessons and download the sheet music. We add the heroic right hand with some fingering gymnastics to save the left hand. The reason I use these fingerings is to help keep both hands from stretching beyond comfortable shapes, making it easy to use each hand as a “measuring stick” for cleaner jumps and position changes. Let me know if you find these fingerings helpful – if not, I’d be happy to “redo” this measure and show the more “traditional” fingering as an alternative. You can find all of the “Clair de lune from Scratch” lessons at http The sheet music is available in MusicReader format at www.pianofromscratch.com , and you can download a free demo version of MusicReader at www.pianofromscratch.com MusicReader is a program that gives you the ability to annotate your score with digital ink, just like I do on these lesson videos.
