Why Are My Piano Lessons More Successful When I Practice Less?

36-years. Student Piano 13 months. Piano Level 2 and Level 3 Theory. In practice, seven days a week, two to three hours a day, never leave the pages of most of my course, however, when the practice of 30 minutes to an hour, only three days a week, always me outside in my class, songs and feel more relaxed, in my experience. Why this phenomenon?
(I am not trying to play at Carnegie Hall, I'm too old for that, I play for leisure / pleasure and a hobby.)
