What is harder to learn Piano or guitar?
I asked myself about the guitar and is considering learning the piano. I know nothing about scores i use all the chips. And I was wondering what is the hardest I’ve learned something hard and should be easily able to take piano or vice versa. . ?
without a doubt the piano
piano
but guys who play are sexier than guitarrists
agreed, deffinately piano– i learnt to read guitar music in about a day, still workin on this piano stuff for like a month
The piano is much easier than the guitar because it has simple octaves on keys that go in order of scale. Guitars are more difficult because one must learn scale increments which are way more difficult. I have played both, stick with piano if you’re looking for something easy and fun to play.
Hmm probably the piano. But I play piano, && it’s AMAZING. So don’t let the fact that you can’t read sheet music yet stop you, because I seriously && honestly love it! =] Plus, learning sheet music isn’t too difficult =]
Piano is harder to get into but they are both as equally difficult to master.
piano is probably harder for beginners, but both eventually balance out as far as “mastering the instrument” is concerned.
Guitar is easier!
With guitar you’ll only need to learn a handful of keys (chord families). From there you can access all of the other keys with a capo. In other words a few chords can go a very long way with guitar.
With a piano, you’ll have to painstakingly learn every chord. Even worse, you’ll have to learn sheet music which is basically like learning a new language. With guitar, you can get away with tabs or chord charts.
I’ll take you step by step if you want to learn guitar, and you can ask me any question any time!

I’ve taken both piano and guitar lessons.
Piano is easier. Once you know where “middle C” is on the piano, you know where every single C note is on the entire keyboard..it all repeats…it’s all laid out right there in front of you.
How many guitar players can instantly look at the fretboard and tell you where every single C note is?
Plus…although something can be argued for the touch sensitivity of piano keys, it’s simply a matter of pressing the right note. Not so with guitars…the ability to hold a string behind the fret and have the note ring clear and true is not an easy task.
My cat has gotten clear true notes out of the piano, but never on a guitar. LOL
Now with piano, one does have to utilize both hands…keep a bass riff going with the left while the right plays melody, but again, the same can be argued for finger-picking guitarists.
The only area where the guitar might be considered easier to learn than piano, is its portability. You can take a guitar anywhere…not so with most keyboards.
